Greetings,

I find your website to be quite intriguing. Despite the fact that over 85% of Americans call themselves Christians, you all seem to be enjoying your ignorance in some pathetic illusion so that you can feel persecuted. The unavailing arrogance of your tone and your material can be seen with ease. You quoted Mikhail Bakunin, "Mr. Marx does not believe in God, but he believes deeply in himself. His heart is filled not with love but with rancor. He has very little benevolence toward men and becomes...furious and…spiteful…when anyone dares question the omniscience of the divinity whom he adores, that is to say, Mr. Marx himself." Perhaps another quote by the same genius is in order....

"This contradiction lies here: they wish God, and they wish humanity. They persist in connecting two terms which, once separated, can come together again only to destroy each other. They say in a single breath: 'God and the liberty of man,' 'God and the dignity, justice, equality, fraternity, prosperity of men'-regardless of the fatal logic by virtue of which, if God exists, all these things are condemned to non-existence. For, if God is, he is necessarily the eternal, supreme, absolute master, and, if such a master exists, man is a slave; now, if he is a slave, neither justice, nor equality, nor fraternity, nor prosperity are possible for him. In vain, flying in the face of good sense and all the teachings of history, do they represent their God as animated by the tenderest love of human liberty: a master, whoever he may be and however liberal he may desire to show himself, remains none the less always a master. His existence necessarily implies the slavery of all that is beneath him. Therefore, if God existed, only in one way could he serve human liberty-by ceasing to exist.

"A jealous lover of human liberty, and deeming it the absolute condition of all that we admire and respect in humanity, I reverse the phrase of Voltaire, and say that, if God really existed, it would be necessary to abolish him."

Perhaps if you had a genuine interest in the rights of individuals, then I could respect you, but from what I see, you are bigoted and ignorant. You consider the Anti-Defamation League an enemy. You do not want to protect the rights of American citizens. You want those rights crushed under your feet as your crusade for the disgusting religion that tramples the hearts of those who questioned. Consider the facts: the United States motto is "In God We Trust," only in the 1960's did public schools stop having prayer, and repeatedly in all parts of various organizations we will see that individuals praise and adore Christianity. George Bush said that he did not consider Atheists to be citizens, much less patriots. You are not at all so much for the freedom of religion of everyone as you are for Christians. The Pledge of Allegiance has the words "Under God" in it; in such a way, it promotes religion. When an individual attempted to remove those words from the Pledge, you considered this an ANTI-CHRISTIAN act. Just the same way you described the removal of prayer from federal court hearings as ANTI-CHRISTIAN. When the courts disallowed schools from observing Bible Week, you called it ANTI-CHRISTIAN. Your pompous, foul, and messy sludge of opinions are absolutely appalling.

The fact that you are incapable of grasping simple history is mind boggling. In one statement, you are capable of making yourself out to be the most uneducated organization on the entire planet, "Our country was founded upon Christian principles and the Judeo-Christian ethic. The National Alliance Against Christian Discrimination is committed to coordinate, educate, and motivate concerned Christians and citizens to speak up and speak out concerning their religious rights and heritage." I would be incredibly amused if you were capable of proving that statement: how the United States was founded on Christianity. Of religion, Thomas Paine - a founding father - has written...

"Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we called it the word of a demon, than the Word of God. It is a history of wickedness, that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind; and, for my own part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel." [The Age of Reason, by Thomas Paine, chapter 7.]

None of the founding fathers of the United States were Christians. The associations made on your website are plainly embarrassing. For some reason, you believe that Hollywood is anti-Christian. If you could find one educated person that would agree with this statement, I would give you a cookie.

The most horrendous trait of your website is that you try to depict Freedom of Religion as Christian oppression. When, for example, a prayer is moved out of public curricula, you call it Anti-Christian. When a religious official stated 'that he did not believe Jesus Christ was God, was bodily resurrected, or was the only way to God,' and the church that he was a member of did not excommunicate him, you refer to this as "religious Atheism." This is proof of your narrow-mindedness, that you immediately calculate that non-Christianity is immediately Atheism. Then you quote a story about how a student "Sallie" was assigned to a Child Study Team where she would be remediated, because she talked about Christianity -- and you don't list a resource! (Yes, a resource was posted, but it was only available with a paid order - I. E. not a resource.) The fact that you wish to make anybody believe that 10% of the non-Christians in the nation are oppressing the 90% of Christians is absolutely laughable. I could go on and on about how you are obviously incapable of differentiating from oppression of Christians and Freedom of Religion.

The principle of Freedom of Religion is that no religion will be favored in public institutions -- as public institutions exist with the consent and taxes of the governed; in this case, the governed are pluralistic and not everyone accepts only on particular religion. In this sense, Christian prayers - as well as Buddhist prayers or Hindu prayers - would be unacceptable to be due process in any public procedure. However, if free individuals desire to express their religious background in a nonviolent way, that is entirely acceptable. When a public institute or promote Christianity, you regard it as proper praise of Christianity, but when a public institute promotes another religion, you regard it as anti-Christian; furthermore, when a public institute discards a Christian prayer, you consider it anti-Christian, but when a public institute discards a Buddhist prayer, you consider it pro-Christian. To this extent, you have not at all embraced any principle of Freedom of Religion. You have only adopted a policy of Christianity over compassion, intolerance over tolerance, and injustice over justice. The principle of Freedom of Religion is based on the conclusion that we are all conscious beings, deserving of equal treatment and consideration, whether or not we believe that there is a mystical force guiding us. It is this principle of equality that has led to Freedom of Religion, just as it has led to the emancipation of slaves and the suffrage of women.

When a religious official stated, ‘that he did not believe Jesus Christ was God, was bodily resurrected, or was the only way to God,’ you referred to it as Religious Atheism. Of what degree of contempt and cruelty can you have at honest and sincere confessions? Thomas Paine said that the only man who is an infidel is the one who lies to himself. What can be said of your creed, one of monstrous arrogance and superstition? Under the roof of your church, it is a blasphemy to love virtue and detest vice, doubt and examination are crimes, and critical thought neglected. Even had I been a Christian, I certainly would want nothing at all to do you with your hate propaganda, spreading lies and promoting bigotry amongst the public. Your organization is not so much about the Oppression of Christians than it is actually the Oppression by Christians.
